ABOUT ROOSTER KING HUNTS
Welcome and thank you for your interest in RoosterKing Hunts. We are a pay hunting operation located on our family farm in Presho, South Dakota. Presho is located in Lyman County. Our family homesteaded in Lyman County more than 100 years ago and we continue the tradition of farming. We take pride in farming and being great conservationists of the soil and wildlife of Lyman County. We farm roughly 4,500 acres of winter wheat, spring wheat,corn,milo,millet,soybeans and sunflowers. We have a very diverse crop rotation which greatly benefits the soil and wildlife. Our land consists of many draws,creeks,sloughs,crp acres, grass waterways etc. and lots of well organized bird plots. We enjoy planting bird plots and other pheasant cover areas year after year on our fields to provide food and habitat to help increase the pheasant population.

Our hunting operation consists of only WILD pheasant, grouse and prairie chicken with Roosters being the KING. Our old fashioned WILD pheasant hunting is just as you would remember it back in the day....."exhilarating bird flushes, Guns a blazing, and letting the Good Times Roll."
We currently have two houses located in Presho for your convenience. The houses will be included in your hunt and are equipped with bedding, kitchen utensils,grills,furniture,etc. Both houses have heated garages/mud rooms for the benefit of your dogs and hunting gear.
South Dakota is well known for its world class pheasant hunting. Lyman County is located in central South Dakota, where the highest pheasant numbers in the state are found. This area is unlike any other! Every year Lyman County statistically ranks at the top with the highest pheasant populations in South Dakota and all of North America! Lyman County and Presho is strategically located in the center of the golden triangle. The golden triangle is special because it consistently boasts the best WILD pheasant hunting numbers in North America! The golden triangle forms a connecting line between the cities of Pierre, Winner, and Chamberlain. The city of Presho is located in the center of that triangle!
